Every secure link records what happened after you sent it.
What you can see
- Who opened it, where you asked for email verification.
- When, and how many times they came back.
- How long they spent in total.
- Page by page. Which pages they lingered on and where they stopped reading.
- Whether they downloaded it, if downloads are allowed.
Where to look
- Open a document to see its own view history.
- Open Visitors to see activity across everything you have shared.
- Inside a data room, see which documents drew attention and which were never opened.
Notifications
You can be notified when a document is viewed, when someone uploads into a data room, or when a viewer asks a question. Set what you want to hear about under Settings > Notifications.
Troubleshooting
- A view has no name against it. The link did not require email verification. Turn it on to identify future viewers.
- The time looks too short. A view is only counted while the document is actually open, so a tab left in the background does not inflate it.
